Historical Overview

In 2000, the faculty initially had three departments:

1. Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines
   • Headed by Candidate of Biological Sciences, Parasitologist T.M. Moldopiyazova
2. Department of General Medical Disciplines
   • Headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Surgeon M. A. Abdykadyrov
3. Department of Internal Diseases
   • Headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor A.A. Abdyldaev

At that time, the faculty had 3 Doctors of Sciences and 8 Candidates of Sciences working across these departments.

   • Located at Pushkin Street 148/a, hosting classrooms for therapeutic disciplines, general and faculty surgery, and other clinical subjects.
2. Centers of Clinical Skills:
   • Equipped with modern demonstration and certification dummies for practical training and skill assessment in clinical disciplines.
3. Hospital Therapy Department:
   • Based at the South Regional Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery (URNCSS), featuring cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment technologies for internal diseases. Faculty members actively participate in medical, diagnostic, and advisory services.
4. General Surgery Department:
   • Covers multiple specialties, including:

• According to Order No. 680 (dated September 29, 2018) by the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the medical faculty of JASU is affiliated with 27 medical and preventive institutions, enhancing the clinical training opportunities for students.
